This book is the fourth compilation of poems produced at home entirely by myself. The process of writing, producing, compiling and designing has emerged not through plan, but through continued inspiration creating the need for a resource to “house” the wealth of material that accrued. I am six years into this developing ministry.

As a professional singer, losing my voice in 2005 was frustrating and disastrous and it meant that I needed an emotional vent for the questions that come through trauma and turmoil. At this low ebb, God blessed me with this new gift. Through the death of my twin boys, God has been able to use my journey of “Rising from the Ashes” to both challenge and bless individuals in the Kingdom. Initially the thrust was validation and hope for those also grieving, but as God matured me spiritually and prophetically, He blessed me with strategic revelations about the reasons He had allowed me to suffer (in His words) “… the very depths a human heart can bear”. He revealed to me that, through the grief at the loss of my sons, He had allowed me to align with His own grief at losing His sons – Israel.

Thus, from here, God gave me a direct commission to share His heart and began to increase the gifting to fulfil that commission. Over the months, the poetry became less “me” focussed and more God and Kingdom focussed: less experiential and more prophetic. Insight, authority, vision and understanding have followed and the writing has become fluid and strong; like a direct, divine download.

“To Change a Nation” was God’s prompting- its purpose, to share the truth with the Church regarding His own Heart, Israel  and the real issues that need to be addressed in intercession if breakthrough is to be “prayed in”.
